The Alleged Instructions for Brittany Mahomes to Maintain Distance from Taylor Swift at the Super Bowl

Brittany Mahomes later received a barrage of backlash for sharing pictures of herself posing from the sidelines after her husband’s Kansas City Chiefs lost the Super Bowl.

Swift and Brittany attended this year’s Super Bowl to support their partners, Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes, but they were seated in separate suites to watch the game.

The move raised eyebrows, especially since their partners play for the same team, the Kansas City Chiefs, and the two women had been seen sitting together on many previous occasions when attending games.

Now, sources have suggested that Brittany was “instructed” to sit away from Taylor Swift during the game.

“Brittany kept her distance from Taylor because of Trump attending the game,” a source told the Daily Mail. “She was instructed to do so.”

The source also claimed that the instruction was intended to shield Brittany from the potential backlash from remarks that Trump might make while attending the game.

“Everyone was forewarned that Trump would likely reference Taylor in one way or another, and he did,” said the source, referencing Trump’s mocking social media remarks to Swift after the Chiefs’ loss.

They added, “It was in both of their best interests, given Trump’s attendance and his past remarks about Taylor, that the two did not sit next to each other.”

While Brittany has not publicly endorsed Trump, her liking a post about the billionaire mogul last August suggested that she might be a closet supporter of the newly elected president.

Her family’s “outspoken support” has also convinced Trump that this is the case, and Brittany has yet to deny that she is on his side.

On the other hand, Swift openly endorsed Kamala Harris, which implied that the two celebrities held different political views.

During the lead-up to the 2024 presidential election, Trump expressed his disdain for Swift, saying on his Truth Social platform that he “HATES” the singer after she supported former Vice President Harris.

In an interview on “Fox & Friends,” he emphasized how much he preferred Brittany to the “Blank Space” hitmaker.

Trump praised Mahomes, claiming she’s “a big MAGA fan,” noting, “That’s the one I like much better than Taylor Swift.”

Despite Brittany and Swift’s differing politics, the duo has maintained their friendship. They openly support each other at their partners’ games and have joint couple dates.

However, it has been reported that some of Brittany’s close friends worry that Trump might try to exploit her relationship with Swift to take a “cheap shot” at the pop star.

“Friends feel Trump uses Brittany and her husband Patrick to get to Taylor,” a second insider told the Daily Mail.

They further dished: “Brittany is a pawn in Trump’s game to get into her circle. Trump is well aware of their friendship, and he is very divisive.”

“Any way he can take a cheap shot at Taylor, he will. This is likely why Brittany kept her distance,” the sources added.

Brittany showed up to the game looking stylish, as seen in the images she shared on her page.

For her look, she wore cream-colored jeans with the word “Chiefs” layered in red and gold on one side.

She also sported a matching long-sleeved cropped jacket and white corset top that showed a glimpse of her cleavage.

Brittany further added to her height with a pair of cowboy boots and accessorized with a $73,000 VRAI diamond necklace and other jewelry.

Alongside posting images of herself posing on the sidelines, the mother of three also shared photos that included her kids, daughter Sterling, 4, and son Bronze, 2.

Despite sitting apart, Swift and Britanny seemingly co-ordinated outfits as they dressed in white for the game.

For Swift, she donned a white double-breasted Saint Laurent blazer that reportedly cost $3,253. Underneath, Swift had on a white Alaïa bodysuit and bedazzled denim shorts.

After the Super Bowl, Brittany received a barrage of backlash for sharing pictures of herself from the game on her Instagram page.

Some Kansas City Chiefs fans believed that the post was poorly timed, as the Philadelphia Eagles defeated the Chiefs in a 22 – 40 loss.

A user wrote, “So self-absorbed,” while another commented, “Not about you.”

Meanwhile, some Philadelphia Eagles fans trolled the mother of three about her husband’s team loss.

One wrote, “The Kansas City Chiefs are wack. Fly Eagles Fly. American Football has been saved from becoming the Patrick Mahomes Disaster show.”

Another commented, “Go Eagles, Patrick, don’t show up.”
