The Talk hosts reflected on their “shenanigans” — or lack thereof — over the years, including favorite guests and memorable moments.
Actress Natalie Morales shared her excitement and nostalgia about the many great shows and memories she has been part of. She revealed to Us Weekly that one of her favorite guests was the “dynamic” Kate Biberdorf, also known as Kate the Chemist.
As the series finale of The Talk approaches, 52-year-old Morales, alongside her co-stars Akbar Gbajabiamila, Amanda Kloots, Jerry O’Connell, and Sheryl Underwood, is preparing to bid farewell to the show. The CBS stars took a moment to reminisce about the past and recall some of their most beloved famous guests in an exclusive interview with Us.
Morales also recalled Bryan Cranston being “hilarious” — even though he capped her cheap.
During a light-hearted exchange, Morales recounted a funny moment when O’Connell jokingly called her cheap on the show. The banter started when they discussed tipping etiquette, and O’Connell playfully teased Morales about it. The teasing continued as guest Bryan Cranston joined in, playfully referring to Morales as “cheap Natalie,” creating a lively atmosphere that carried on for two segments.
Kloots, 42, recalled it being “really funny” before naming Mark McGrath as one of her favorite guests.
“I had a picture of him on my planner in high school and I confessed to him on air, like, you were my high school crush,” she gushed. “Also, Zack Morris [Mark-Paul Gosselaar] when he was on our show.”
She said it was “so funny” to meet people that she loved in high school.
“I didn’t miss a Saturday morning of Saved by the Bell. Same with Tiffani Thiessen when she was here,” Kloots added. “It’s like these childhood icons and you’re like, ‘I get to meet them!’ It’s so wild.”
Underwood, 61, recalled the episode when Kloots danced with Tony Danza.
“That was a good one,” Kloots continued. “Again, I grew up watching Who’s the Boss.”
O’Connell made it clear that there were “no shenanigans” going down on set.
“I don’t want to start any rumors, but I had a very big crush on Deborah Norville for many years, and when Deborah Norville came on the show, I kept it classy,” he joked. “Obviously, HR is always lurking and stuff, but that was very exciting.”
Once O’Connell dished about his crush, Morales was quick to share her own interaction.
“Well, for confessing crushes, Rob Lowe, and he’s been on,” Morales added. “Every time he comes on, he is so much fun.”
O’Connell responded, “I was very appropriate with Deborah Norville. Natalie was not very appropriate with Rob Lowe.”
The Talk airs on CBS weekdays at 2 p.m. ET/1 p.m. PT with the final episode scheduled for Friday, December 20.
