“Suzanne Somers’ Late Husband Finds Love Again in Hollywood Two Years After Her Passing”

The “Three’s Company” actress sadly passed away in October 2023 following a long battle with cancer, leaving behind her husband of 46 years.

Now, almost two years later, Hamel has debuted a new relationship with an actress who once starred alongside his late wife.

Hamel appears to have sought solace in the companionship of one of Somers’ fellow cast members from “Hollywood Wives.” Recently, the host of “Anniversary Game” was seen strolling arm in arm with actress Joanna Cassidy.

Images captured the pair, both advanced in age, appearing quite comfortable as they took a leisurely walk along the shoreline at the Malibu Beach Inn on Carbon Beach. Observers noted that Hamel and Cassidy seemed to be in a romantic relationship.

During their outing, the Canadian performer opted for a relaxed attire, donning a partially unbuttoned orange shirt with a pattern, paired with black pants and formal shoes. Conversely, the former model chose a more business casual ensemble, with a gray blazer worn over a cream-colored top matched with plaid pants.

Hamel and Cassidy twinned in matching white caps gotten from the hotel gift shop, adding flames to the affair rumors. Per the Daily Mail, the alleged lovebirds grabbed a lobster lunch at Broad Beach Oyster Company before leaving together in a black SUV.

Hamel and Cassidy’s romantic appearance hints at the widower’s first serious relationship since Somers’ death. However, both women share a surprising connection.

The 79-year-old starred alongside Somers in the 1985 miniseries “Hollywood Wives.” Cassidy played the role of Marilee Gray while the deceased actress portrayed Gina Germaine.

The three-part miniseries, adapted from Jackie Collins’ book of the same name, followed a group of wealthy, attractive, snobbish women as they navigate the low life and high society of Hollywood.

Cassidy boasts an impressive acting career, having won a Golden Globe for her role in the NBC comedy series “Buffalo Bill.” Her other acting credits include “Six Feet Under,” “Who Framed Roger Rabbit,” “Body of Proof,” and “Under Fire.”

As for her personal life, the actress-model has been divorced from her ex-husband Kennard C. Kobrin since 1974. Not much is known about her past relationships.

Hamel and Cassidy’s debut comes as Somers’ second death anniversary approaches in four months.

Fans may recall that for her first death anniversary, Hamel took fans down memory lane to the start of their beautiful love story. The widower, in an interview, revealed that things were tumultuous at the beginning.

“For the first few years of our love affair, we fought like mad dogs. But we always returned to our passionate love for one another,” the “Razzle Dazzle” star recalled. He credited Somers for helping them overcome their differences.

“After one of our fights, Suzanne said to me, ‘No matter how bad it gets, let’s never break up.’ And we never did,” the grieving widower said at the time.

Hamel added that they always held hands. “We always went to sleep every night holding hands, and in the morning, I would always awaken a few minutes before Suzanne, and I would just lie there, staring at her beautiful face,” he remembered.

He recalled a “very strange” incident when “a hummingbird flew” into their home and “hovered” over a framed picture of Hamel and Somers in their breakfast nook.  The bird then “landed on top and stayed there.”
