Fox canceled press appearances for John Schneider the morning after his emotional exit from The Masked Singer over a since-deleted X (formerly Twitter) post about President Joe Biden, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.

Fox had no comment in the wake of the Dukes of Hazzard star calling on the social media post for the public executions of Biden and his son Hunter Biden. “Mr. President, I believe you are guilty of treason and should be public hung [sic). Your son too. Your response is..? Sincerely, John Schneider,” the actor and singer wrote in response to a post by Biden about former President Donald Trump that was captured by the West Coast editor of Vulture.

Representatives for Schneider did not respond to requests for comment from THR, which followed an emotional exit from Wednesday’s season 10 finale of The Masked Singer where the former teen idol was unmasked and praised by the reality TV series judges for finishing second in the competition.

After being revealed as Donut, a tearful Schneider noted he had marked a one-year anniversary since the death of his wife, Alicia, after her battle with cancer.

In one of his only post-finale interviews, for People magazine, the actor and singer said, “Really, doing The Masked Singer empowered me … I’m a pretty strong guy, but I’m also a very emotional guy. Being out there on that stage dressed like a donut, singing some of the greatest songs ever written and having people respond to the songs and the performance with no notion that it was me, really, really helped John Schneider.”

Schneider played Bo Duke on the original Dukes of Hazzard series from 1979 to 1985, which included a depiction of the Confederate flag on the roof of the famous car used in show. His other screen credits include Tyler Perry’s The Haves and the Have Nots, Smallville, Felicity, the movie Smokey and the Bandit and an appearance on Dancing With the Stars.
