Leaders in fashion glamour at the Met Gala 2025: Zendaya, Miley Cyrus, Gigi Hadid, and Lana del Rey shine on the ultimate night of style

Fashion’s biggest night out kicked off with plenty of glamour and glitz on Monday, May 5th at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.

Zendaya looked stunning as she confidently strutted down the Met Gala red carpet in a fashionable white suit paired with a hat. Her outfit was exclusively designed by Louis Vuitton.

Gigi Hadid glittered in a custom Miu Miu gold halter dress, complete with ruching along her waist.

Miley Cyrus flashed her abs in a black ball skirt with a textured long-sleeve black crop top.

Lana del Rey looked like a classic movie star in her black and chocolate brown look, complete with a large bow on one shoulder. 

Fashion’s biggest night out kicked off with plenty of glamour and glitz on Monday, May 5th at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City

The Met Gala is an exclusive annual event that follows a specific theme each year. The theme for this year is ‘Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,’ drawn from Monica Miller’s research, particularly her book Fashion: Black Dandyism and the Styling of Black Diasporic Identity.

Monica is the chair of Africana Studies at Barnard College, as well as a professor at the institute.

The 2025 gala theme focuses on menswear, 22 years after the ‘Men In Skirts’ theme – which was the first gala to focus only on menswear. 

Monica Miller explains that Black dandyism serves as a method and a mechanism to reconsider one’s identity, to envision oneself in a new setting. She highlights that during historical periods like slavery, it was crucial to challenge societal norms regarding humanity and individual worth.

The Met Gala 2025 will be co-chaired by Lewis Hamilton, A$AP Rocky, Colman Domingo, Pharrell Williams and Anna Wintour, with Lebron James as the honorary chair. 

Zendaya chose flared white trousers with a tailored button up and blazer, adding a large hat. 

Miley showcased her toned midsection in the all black look, adding a choker necklace and her hair pulled back in a slick bun. 

Gigi looked incredible in her striking metallic look, paired with her old Hollywood curls; The model added mauve hued lipstick to her lovely look.

Lana’s look had a feathered accent along the back of her blouse. 

The beauty wore her hair back in waves with minimal makeup, highlighting her stunning natural looks.
