A NEWBORN baby has been found beheaded and dismembered in a rubbish bin, prompting cops to launch an urgent manhunt for the tot’s mum.
The baby girl was born alive – and was just five days old when she was brutally killed, doctors confirmed.
Her tragic remains were found in several plastic bags in a recycling centre in Madrid, Spain.
A repulsed worker made the harrowing discovery at a garbage plant in Loeches.
The horror crime is being investigated by Spanish police who have appealed for anyone with information to come forward.
Local cops launched “Operation Natal” in a bid to “get justice” for the dead infant.
The crime dates back to December 12, 2024 – and tests have now revealed the terrible sequence of events.
The girl was born alive and was murdered, almost certainly with a knife, reports say.
The five-day-old, according to a probe, would have been decapitated and her remains then put in garbage bags.
Dylan, a K-9 officer working for the Central K9 Service focusing on detecting biological materials, was involved in the investigations carried out at the garbage disposal site.
The police dog sniffed out several remains of the newborn in the area.
Through their investigation, the officers traced back the origin of the trash and determined that it had been brought to the Loeches plant in multiple bags discarded on the evening of December 12.
The individual suspected of being the perpetrator purportedly disposed of the garbage and remains in a container located in the Vallecas neighborhood area, particularly the section nearest to the M-30, adjacent to the Vallecas bridge.
DNA tests carried out on the corpse of the newborn have revealed that she was of Latin American or subtropical origin.
The Civil Guard has now asked for citizen collaboration, in case any Puente de Vallecas local knew a pregnant immigrant woman who lived in the area in the last few months of last year.
Investigators are convinced that the mum, who they estimate to be about 40 years old, orchestrated the horrific crime.
A Civil Guard spokesperson said: “The investigations are still open, which is why citizen collaboration is requested for the total clarification of the criminal act.
“Anyone who could have any information of interest on the matter, contact the Civil Guard.”
They added: “From the investigations carried out so far, it has been possible to determine that the remains would correspond to a female baby and that she was born alive, there are indications that would point to her death being of a violent nature.”
In 2023, a newborn baby was found dismembered in a rucksack in Paris.
The tot’s mum, 21, was arrested following the grisly discovery at her home in a suburb in the French capital.
She is understood to have given birth in the commune of Stains, in the Seine-Saint-Denis area in the northern suburbs of Paris.
The young woman, who lived with her parents, told two of her friends on July 23, 2023, that she had given birth.
She claimed that the child was stillborn and threatened to dismember it, according to police.
She was arrested for voluntary homicide on a minor under the age of 15 in late July.
And then she was released and hospitalised in a psychiatric facility.
The dismembered baby found in Spain comes after a nurse in Argentina was sentenced to life in prison last week for ruthlessly murdering five newborns and trying to kill eight others.
The case Brenda Aguero bears chilling similarities to that of Brit baby murderer Lucy Letby, the nurse who is serving 15 whole-life sentences for killing seven babies and attempting to murder seven more.
