“There is no feud,” Goggins told the outlet. “I adore, I love this woman madly, and she is so important to me. She is love, and I know that I am that to her. We care about each other very deeply.”

The “Justified” star didn’t hold back in singing Wood’s praises, calling her “Goldie Hawn” and “Meg Ryan” rolled into one. “She can do anything, and she will,” he said. “You watch what the next 20 years of her experience will be.”

Wood shared that she was initially tempted to speak out as rumors mounted, but opted to stay quiet. “Eventually, I just started to sit back and watch these people making something out of absolutely nothing,” she explained.

Much of the fan frenzy centered on Goggins’ unfollowing Wood on Instagram, something both stars found ridiculous. “Why is everyone obsessing over Instagram?” Goggins said bluntly. “That is irrelevant. We don’t give a sh-t about Instagram.”

“If I may add, just to put this to bed?” he continued. “The following or unfollowing. I’m a grown-a– man.” Goggins also revealed he’s historically struggled with goodbyes, often going radio silent after intense projects. “I didn’t talk to [‘Justified’ co-star] Tim Olyphant for almost two years,” he admitted. “I’ve done that with every single thing that I’ve done.”

Still, the social media silence and Wood’s exclusion from a recent “White Lotus” tribute post fueled fan theories, especially as their on-screen characters, Rick and Chelsea, were romantically linked throughout season 3 of the HBO hit before their tragic deaths in the finale.

In 2004, Walton Goggins endured a devastating loss when his wife died by suicide. In the years that followed, he embarked on a deeply personal journey, spending three years traveling in search of healing and clarity. That journey eventually led him to Thailand, specifically, to Bangkok. It wasn’t until he arrived on set there that he recognized the startling coincidence: he had returned to the very same place.

“My catharsis in this experience was different than other people’s, because of my history in this place. I knew what we had gone through, and I knew how close that we had gotten, and I needed to begin to process saying goodbye to Rick and Chelsea,” Goggins said as his eyes welled up with tears. “And I knew that that was going to take a while for me, so I let her know, this is what I’ve gotta do. And she was extremely supportive about that.”

After filming “The White Lotus,” Goggins said he “needed to just back away from everyone.”

“I haven’t spoken to anyone. I couldn’t handle it. Judge me or don’t. I don’t give a f-ck what you think,” he continued. “This is my process. Rick means everything to me, and Chelsea means everything to me. And so that’s what I needed to do for me to process all of this.”
