In a recent interview, the TV personality provided a health update and disputed allegations of having frontotemporal dementia despite being under a conservatorship.
This interview comes in light of reports that a judge prohibited her from speaking to the press following her comparison of life in conservatorship to “a prison.”

She continued, “Well, you know, there’s this lawsuit saying that uh…the lawsuit is with Lifetime and A&E. I’ve been told I stand to win $20 million.”
Charlamagne Tha God interjected and urged Williams to refresh people’s memories of what the lawsuit was about.
She explained, “The lawsuit was that four-part thing starring me on TV, which I only watched once, and I will never watch again in life. It was disgusting, and by the way, I watched it with my guardianship person.”

As the interview progressed, Williams expressed her disdain for the legal procedure and her guardian before giving more details about her health.
She said, “I don’t have frontotemporal dementia, you know what I’m saying. It’s disgusting. That is a very rare thing for anybody to have…It’s like one of those types of things where I’d be a blubbering idiot like I can’t take a shower, I can’t dress myself, I can’t speak, I can’t listen…”
Williams also lamented her stay at the facility in New York, stressing that she didn’t know why she was there and decrying her inability to use the gym. She added, “I am not incapacitated. I am not a baby. But I guess for Lifetime A&E, I stand to win all that money, so I’m supposed to be a blubbering idiot.”

Charlamagne then interjected, saying, “So what you are saying, Wendy, is that the lawsuit that was filed by Sabrina Morrissey, acting in her capacity as your guardian. She brought a lawsuit against A&E and claimed that the contract the company brokered to shoot the documentary wasn’t valid since you didn’t have the legal or mental capacity to authorize your participation in the title at the time.”
Williams said, “Listen, I have to tell you something about my life… I haven’t had liquor in years now. Yes, who doesn’t go through problems in their life? Divorce, this that…then all of a sudden, I got involved with this guardianship person, a judge, attorney…”

Williams Expresses Desire To Work With Lifetime
Afterward, Wendy Williams gave a “shout out to the people at Lifetime” and revealed she had been in business with them before. She said, “They’re good people to me, and I would love to do business with them again.”
The “Where Is Wendy Williams?” documentary is at the center of the lawsuit. Williams’ guardian claimed she was taken advantage of, paid only $82,000, and that her signature on the contract might not even be legit.
Since May 2022, Williams has been under court-ordered guardianship due to health issues, with her guardian insisting she’s “cognitively impaired and permanently incapacitated.”
However, her family and friends aren’t buying it—they’ve been pushing back hard against the guardianship and even started a GoFundMe to help with legal costs.
