Will There Be An ‘On Call’ Season 2? What We Know About The Popular Prime Video Police Procedural’s Return

If you’ve just finished watching Prime Video’s latest drama, On Call, you might be curious about the possibility of a second season to address the unresolved issues from Season 1.

The series, a police procedural set in Long Beach, California, centers on a rookie cop (Brandon Larracuente) and a seasoned officer (Troian Bellisario) as they respond to emergency calls during a shift. Despite premiering on January 9, the show has already attracted a devoted following.

After a cliffhanger ending to the first season, we are eager to see how things move forward for the officers of the Long Beach Police Department.

Here is all the information currently available on On Call Season 2, including its renewal status, the interest of the cast and crew in returning, and the potential timeframe for the return of our beloved police duo.

Not yet. The Troian Bellisario show is still awaiting a Season 2 renewal from Prime Video.

While the series has not gotten the green light to start writing or filming more episodes, the cast and crew are excited about potentially returning. Executive producer and co-creator Tim Walsh says he is down for writing more calls for his cops to respond to.

“We’re hopeful that we’re going to get a Season 2,” Walsh told TV Insider during a recent interview. The other cast members and crew have similarly expressed interest in a second season so here’s hoping that it comes through.

Aside from Troian Bellisisario and Brandon Larracuente, the show also stars Eriq La Salle as Sergeant Lasman, Lori Loughlin as Lieutenant Bishop, Rich Ting as Sergeant Koyama, Mac Brandt as Officer Barlowe, and Rich Ceraulo Ko as Officer Roland.

The series follows veteran police officer, Traci Harmon (Bellisario), who is tasked with training a rookie, Alex Diaz (Brandon Larracuente), after the devastating loss of her former partner. The show sees the police duo responding to calls and learning more about the profession through the eyes of their fellow officers and the public that they assist.

Given that the show hasn’t gotten a Season 2 renewal, the timeline for a second season renewal is up in the air. That said, Prime Video is usually pretty good about turning around new seasons quickly so we hope that it will come around this time next year.

So we have piqued your interest in the new show, have we? Well, good news, you can now watch all eight episodes of On Call Season 1 over on Prime Video. Of course, you have to be the proud owner of a Prime Video account in order to stream the show.

Good news is that you can purchase a new Prime Video membership for as little as $8,99 a month. You can also bundle a Prime Video membership into your Amazon Prime subscription for $14.99 a month or $139 per year.

On Call Season 1 is now streaming on Prime Video.
