‘Mom killer,’ 15, was inspired by Menendez brothers doc before stabbing her to death with a steak knife

A TEEN accused of stabbing his mom to death with a steak knife has admitted the murder was inspired by the Menendez brothers.

A 15-year-old boy turned himself in to the police on Tuesday night. He allegedly used a dumbbell to hit his mother and then stabbed her to death with a kitchen knife.

Charged with first-degree intentional homicide, the teenager, residing in Franksville, Wisconsin, is accused of killing his mother, Suzanne Gelinskey, at their family residence.

The boy, who remains unnamed due to his age, told cops he plotted to kill his mom after watching the Menendez brothers documentary on Netflix.

An infamous case that gained notoriety is that of Erik and Lyle Menendez. In 1989, they shot their parents inside their Beverly Hills mansion. Currently, the brothers are serving a life sentence in prison with no possibility of parole.

On Tuesday, the boy told cops he turned on The Menendez Brothers after he came home from school depressed with the “urge to kill his parents,” according to ABC affiliate WISN.

He said he watched the Netflix doc while his mom, who worked for the Racine Unified School District, was sitting on the couch using her computer.

The teen said the twisted murder scheme came to him after the “shotgun scene” in the doc, explaining how the notorious duo killed Kitty and Jose Menendez.

The boy hit his mom in the head twice with a dumbbell bar before stabbing her with a knife five times, cops said.

He told investigators his mom asked him, “Why?” during the gruesome attack.

“Pain,” he reportedly replied.

Gelinskey’s cause of death was multiple chest wounds that caused internal bleeding, according to the autopsy report.

Cops were called to the family’s home after the teen’s friend reported he sent her a picture of his mom’s body over Snapchat, according to Fox affiliate WITI.

The horrific snap reportedly showed the mom lying on her back in a pool of blood.

When officers arrived at the house, the teen “dropped a brown and silver kitchen knife at the front stoop of the home,” the criminal complaint said.

He then reportedly told cops to kill him.
