Recently, a documentary on Elvis’ life was released, in which his stepbrother, David Stanley, made shocking accusations. Stanley was part of Elvis’ entourage in the 1970s and had a close relationship with his stepbrother.

Stanley claimed that Elvis’ cause of death may not have been what it seemed and that he had committed suicide because of all the lovers he had betrayed after his divorce from Priscilla Presley.

Stanley confirmed that Elvis had had many sexual encounters with underage women and that his running joke was “14 will get you 20,” meaning that if he slept with a 14-year-old, he would get 20 years in prison.

While Elvis allegedly knew that being with the young women was wrong, he didn’t stop, and Stanley believed it was his guilt at being in these relationships that caused him to take his own life.

Stanley, who is now 67, said that Elvis “premeditated” the medications he had taken, which ended his life. Stanley lamented:

“Love, hurt, pain, exposure — he just couldn’t take it anymore.”

Elvis’ stepbrother also said that his stepbrother’s love for younger women aged 14 to 15 made him sick and said it was a “miracle” that he was never busted for his encounters with underaged women.

The documentary is filled with women who claim to have had a relationship with Elvis when they were underage, and it also looks at his relationship with his ex-wife, Priscilla. Priscilla was fourteen when she and Elvis met. They married when Elvis was 32, and she was 21.

How Did Elvis Presley Die?

Elvis was reported dead at 42 in August 1977 after being found unconscious in his bedroom at Graceland in Memphis, Tennessee. He was transported to Baptist Memorial Hospital, where doctors tried, but failed, to revive him.

Dr. Jerry Francisco, the coroner who performed a two-hour autopsy on the artist, confirmed that he had passed away from cardiac arrest that was caused by prescribed medications he had taken and his unhealthy diet.

Dr. Francisco also believed his previous issues with hypertension and coronary artery disease could have contributed to Elvis’ death. Dr. Francisco confirmed there had been no signs of illicit substances in the autopsy.

Some years after Elvis’ death, there were claims that Elvis had been a drug abuser and that the pills he had taken were what killed him. Some even blamed the doctor who had prescribed him the medications, saying he should have known Elvis would abuse them.

Linda Thompson, who lived with Elvis for years after his divorce, said he had been abusing illicit substances since the 1950s, and Stanley said he had never seen someone use drugs the way his stepbrother had.

His drug use reportedly greatly concerned those close to him, with Thompson saying that his death could have happened several times before August 1977 had she not been there for Elvis.

Thompson felt a responsibility to be there for Elvis as she knew he had a self-destructive streak, and she did not want to watch him self-destruct, so she became acutely aware of his needs and habits.

Elvis’ family even chose to seal his autopsy results for fifty years. That means that four years from now, the public will finally get to know exactly what it was that killed Elvis straight from the autopsy results.

In the decade before his death, his drug abuse was at its worst, and the King of Rock’ n’ Roll was putting on large amounts of weight because he spent his time eating cheeseburgers in his Graceland bedroom. He even refused to leave the room during his final days.

It was reported that Elvis required full-time nursing and that for most of 1975, he refused to bathe, which caused sores to develop on his skin. His terrible diet also caused stomach issues for the singer.

When he passed away, it happened as he was about to sit down on the toilet. Before he could, he pitched forward and landed on the floor. Unfortunately, it was his girlfriend at the time that found him.

Ginger Alden, only 21 then, found Elvis in his bathroom with his pajama pants around his ankles. In her memoir, Alden wrote:

“His arms lay on the ground, close to his sides, palms facing upward. It was clear that, from the moment he landed on the floor, Elvis hadn’t moved.”

Alden entered the bathroom and turned Elvis’ face to hers when a little air escaped the singer’s nose. Alden recalled Elvis’ tongue being clenched between his teeth, and when she raised an eyelid to check on his eyes, she found them blood red.

Elvis’ autopsy results will only be released to the public in 2027, which is when those with questions surrounding the singer’s death will have them answered. The documentary contains many more details about his relationships.
