Two teenagers who were ‘stabbed to death’ in Essex over the weekend have been photographed for the first time, as eight men are detained on suspicion of murder.

Detectives launched a double murder investigation and are still questioning eight men between the ages of 19 and 49 after the alleged stabbing over the weekend.
Essex police said officers found three people injured after receiving multiple calls to the Regency Court around 1.30 a.m. Sunday. Two of them have since died, while the third was treated for non-life-threatening injuries, the force added.
Tributes are now flooding the ‘much loved’ 16-year-old couple, with Frankie’s cousin Charlie Gater, writing on Facebook: ‘Words cannot describe how sad I feel for your mom and dad Frankie. Rest in paradise. ‘
She added on Instagram: ‘It’s causing me physical pain, I lost my cousin. I can’t believe you’re gone, it seems like I’m lost in a nightmare. Our whole family loves you Frankie Gater.
May he rest in the perfect paradise. You always made me laugh and I would be very excited to see your face. Your smile lit a light in my soul every time I heard your name. You were one of the Frankie Gater types, there is no other like you. I’m sorry you couldn’t see the rest of your life.
Another friend of the boys added: ‘Words cannot explain how I feel about losing my brother and you to Frankie, he will forever be in my heart.’

One of Charlie’s friends said, ‘I promise I’ll make you so proud and I’ll always be thinking of you Charlie.’ Honestly, you were so loved by everyone and you and Frankie of all people didn’t deserve this. We had all of our future planned together and I’m going to go and make them like you are still with me. ‘
A third victim was treated for injuries after the stabbing, which police say are not life-threatening or life-changing.
Detectives are “working to establish how the children died” and post-mortem examinations will be carried out. It is understood that the teenagers were allegedly stabbed.
A neighbor at the scene said he heard screaming and someone ‘screaming in pain’ from the scene of the alleged double murder, and claimed that he tried to warn police about the antisocial behavior weeks before.
“There is constant antisocial behavior, drinking, drugs, yelling, fighting,” Mark MacIntosh told reporters. ‘I’ve heard people say’ ‘I’m going to kill him’ ‘up there.

He said: ‘This incident has required an immediate and large-scale response and officers and investigators have worked overnight to piece together what happened prior to this tragic incident.
Our investigations will continue throughout today. We understand that there will naturally be shock and concern within the community after such a tragic loss of life. But, at this stage, we don’t think there is a broader threat to the public. ”
Chief Inspector Mark Barber added: ‘There will continue to be a very visible police presence in Brentwood this morning and indeed throughout the day. I am well aware that this incident will shock many without the community. ‘
Lead Investigative Officer, Detective Chief Inspector Stuart Truss, said: ‘Our team continues to investigate the circumstances that led to two teenagers losing their lives in Brentwood in the early hours of Sunday morning.
They told Essex Live: ‘You are sorry for the family; a poor mother has had the world destroyed. We’ve always had noise and such from the clubs and kids going up and down, but I wasn’t expecting it.
“I feel sorry for the people, their parents and their families. Some poor mother is heartbroken today.
On Sunday, Detective Superintendent Stephen Jennings said there had been an altercation between “two groups” who “knew each other.”
Essex Police Chief Detective Inspector Mark Barber said the horrific incident was “likely a targeted attack” and was an isolated incident.

Conservative Brentwood and Ongar MP Alex Burghart said the community is in a “state of shock.”
“Incidents like these are quite rare in our city and the death of two children in one night has left us very upset,” he said. “ I fully understand that this will shock people, but I hope they feel confident that the police believe this is an isolated incident and that it will provide a greater police presence in the coming days.
“There are no words I can say to improve this, but my condolences to the affected families and I know that everyone in Brentwood will want to send their condolences as well.”
