Alex Batty went missing six years ago while on holiday in Spain and has now appeared in his first TV interview since he was found in France last month.
The 17-year-old hugged his grandmother Susan Caruana, as they both spoke to GMB. During the interview, he said that he did not want his mother and grandfather to face jail as the investigation into his disappearance continues, The Mirror reports.
A criminal investigation has been launched into his disappearance six years after his mother and grandfather took him on holiday, but never returned, Greater Manchester Police has said. Both of them were not allowed to be with him at the time due to domestic difficulties.

After two weeks, when they did not return from holiday in Marbella, an investigation was launched. Last year, Alex returned to his home in Oldham, Greater Manchester, and was reunited with his grandmother, who was his legal guardian.
Alex was found by a delivery driver in Southern France in the middle of the night on December 13. According to investigators, they believe he escaped a rural community in the Pyrenees mountains.
He was picked up by a lorry driver after days of hiking after the driver became suspicious and called the police.
