A video from the location displays a collision involving DPD cars and a Hyundai sedan at the crossing of E. Kentucky Avenue and S. Corona Street, right next to the park.

It is uncertain if the accident is related to the shooting incident. Nevertheless, a bystander informed Denver7 that she observed officers hitting the Hyundai with their vehicles shortly after the shooting and then pointing their guns at the driver.

Denver7 contacted DPD for more information, but the department declined to provide additional details about the violent incident at a busy public park in broad daylight.

This is a developing story and may be updated.
