13 Ohio State football players receive degrees in fall commencement

A total of fifty student-athletes graduated from Ohio State on Sunday, according to the university.

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Thirteen football players for Ohio State graduated Sunday during the university’s fall commencement ceremony.

The Buckeyes just earned their degrees this past weekend and are now setting their sights on clinching a victory next weekend as they face off against Tennessee in the College Football Playoff first-round match at Ohio Stadium.

According to the athletics department, eight of those Buckeyes are starters.

Some of the main players who recently graduated are: CB Denzel Burke (sport industry), RT Josh Fryar (human development and family science), RB TreVeyon Henderson (sport industry), QB Will Howard (master’s in sports coaching), OG/OT Donovan Jackson (sport industry), SAF Lathan Ransom (DEI certificate; previously earned his communication degree), DE Jack Sawyer (sport industry), and DT Tyleik Williams (sport industry).

Additionally, graduating from the team are: K Casey Magyar (mathematics), OT Zen Michalski (sport industry), TE Jace Middleton (human development and family science), QB Chad Ray (DEI certificate; had previously graduated with a health science degree), and OC Toby Wilson (sport industry).

A total of fifty student-athletes graduated from Ohio State on Sunday, according to the university.

Some of those other athletes include:

  • Hunter Armstrong, who is a three-time Olympic gold medalist and the world record holder in the long-course 50 backstroke.
  • Elexis Edwards, an All-American for the women’s gymnastics team. She was named an All-Big Ten performer twice in her career.
  • Michael Adedokun and Siggi Magnusson, who are semifinalists for the 2024 MAC Hermann Award.
  • Six men’s soccer players
  • Kenzie Hauswirth, a two-time national champion for the women’s hockey team.
  • Kade Kern, a member of the baseball team who was drafted by the Atlanta Braves
  • Kailyn Dudukovich, a women’s soccer payer who made the First Team All-American this season.
  • Peyton McNamara, who was a two-time captain for the women’s soccer team and played in 73 career games. She also played for Jamaica in the 2023 World Cup and helped the team advance to the knock-out round for the first time in the country’s history.
