Officials say one of the men pointed a gun at a security guard and bank teller before the pair fled with $8,000 in cash.
AKRON, Ohio — The Akron Police Department says it is currently looking for a suspect in a robbery of a PNC Bank Monday afternoon.
Per a statement released to the media, the incident unfolded when two individuals walked into a bank located on East Waterloo Road a little after 1:45 p.m. Subsequently, one of the men brandished a firearm and threatened a security guard, while the other stood watch outside. Eyewitnesses reported that the armed suspect leaped over the counter and aimed the gun at a bank teller, demanding money. Ultimately, he made off with $8,000 in cash before fleeing the scene with his partner.
Law enforcement officials provided a description of the suspects involved in the robbery. The armed perpetrator was identified as wearing a black hat, a brown curly wig, sports goggles, a blue button-up shirt, jeans, and white sneakers. His accomplice, who acted as a lookout, was described as sporting a tan bucket hat, a white polo shirt with tan and black stripes, baggy tan pants, white sneakers, gold chains, a watch on his left wrist, and a white bracelet on his right wrist.

Akron police have announced that an arrest has been made in connection to this incident.
US Marshals and the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested 35-year-old Darrell Moore. He has been charged with aggravated robbery.

PNC Bank is offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information that leads to the arrest and prosecution of the remaining suspect or suspects.
