The Brooklyn Park Fire Department has verified that all individuals on the plane tragically lost their lives in the accident. Fortunately, no one was harmed in the resulting house fire that occurred on Saturday afternoon.
Officials from the Brooklyn Park Fire Department in Minnesota have confirmed that none of the plane’s passengers survived following a crash in the city on Saturday afternoon.
Officials have not confirmed the number of passengers on the plane.Â
The fire department initially responded to an aircraft incident at 12:22 p.m., said Chief Shaun Conway.
“There are no survivors from the aircraft that struck the home,” added the chief.
The FAA stated the plane departed from Des Moines International Airport in Iowa and was headed to Anoka County-Blaine Airport in Minneapolis.Â
The plane crashed at  10792 Kyle Avenue, according to a release from the city.
Mayor Hollies Winston of Brooklyn Park expressed gratitude that no one in the house was injured. He also extended sympathies to the families and individuals affected by the plane crash.
The crash also took out power in parts of the neighborhood. The city is working with Xcel Energy to restore power with an estimated target of having it back on by midnight, according to a release.
Witnesses nearby told KARE 11 the plane crash started a fire at a home in Brooklyn Park. In a press conference Saturday afternoon, fire crews said no one was in the house at the time of the fire.Â
A neighbor told KARE 11’s Jessica Hart that he felt his house shake with the impact of the aircraft crash.Â
The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating the incident.Â
