Both Beyoncé and Netflix uploaded a preview video on social media, building anticipation for her halftime show during the upcoming Baltimore Ravens versus Houston Texans game on Christmas Day.
Although the game and Beyoncé’s performance will be available for streaming on Netflix, fans in Houston have the option to tune in without worrying about interruptions on KHOU 11/CBS starting at 3:30 p.m. Central Time.
“I’m sending you big joy and love on this Cowboy Christmas Eve ❤️ I’ll see y’all tomorrow, in my city HTX 🤟🏽🏈🪕🌵,” Beyoncé said in a post on social media.
In the video, she can be seen strumming on a banjo as the camera pans upward. However, about 20 seconds into the video, it appears to start buffering, then Beyoncé winks and smiles.
The joke is a jab at the streaming, which is hosting its first-ever NFL game on the app for the holiday.
Earlier this year, Netflix ran into problems during its stream of the Mike Tyson vs. Jake Paul boxing fight. Many fans were unable to watch the much-hyped fight.
