Broomfield police asking for tips after road rage shooting on US 36 near Flatiron Crossing on Saturday

BROOMFIELD, Colo. — Police in Broomfield are asking for the public’s help as they continue to investigate a road rage shooting from over the weekend.

The shooting happened on the eastbound lanes of US 36 near West Flatiron Crossing Drive at around 7:30 p.m. Saturday.

After a preliminary investigation, it was revealed that one person sustained a gunshot wound in the neck due to three bullets hitting their vehicle. Fortunately, the individual’s injuries were minor, and they were expected to fully recover after receiving medical treatment.

The suspect vehicle involved in the incident was identified as a white sedan. Police reported that the sedan was observed driving recklessly in the eastbound direction on US-36 between McCaslin Boulevard and Interlocken Loop.

Authorities requested the assistance of anyone who may have witnessed the road rage shooting or spotted a white sedan driving erratically in the specified area between 7:00 and 7:30 p.m. Individuals with relevant information were urged to reach out to Detective Trujillo by calling (720) 887-5297 or emailing him at [email protected].
