ST. LUCIE COUNTY, Fla. – Another Buc-ee’s location in Florida is one step closer to becoming reality.
According to Florida Today, Buc-ee’s submitted its final site-plan application to St. Lucie County for a location north of Fort Pierce.
This location would be the first on the Treasure Coast and the furthest south in Florida.
Florida Today said the site plan would be reviewed and would likely not require a commission vote to approve.
This gas station would have 120 gas pumps and 778 parking spaces, according to Florida Today.
This would mark the fourth location in Florida, with other locations in Daytona Beach, St. Augustine and one developing in Ocala.
Arch Aplin III introduced Buc-ee’s in Texas in 1982, which then expanded in the state and later into the South, including recent establishments in Florida.
Among its offerings, Buc-ee’s provides a multitude of gas pumps, well-maintained restrooms, popular snacks like Beaver Nuggets, Texas-style brisket sandwiches, fresh jerky, as well as a variety of merchandise such as T-shirts, hats, blankets, and mugs.
