Driver sentenced in 100 mph Florida crash that killed TikTok influencer Ali Spice

A man, 24, who was driving one of the vehicles in a crash that resulted in the death of a TikTok influencer and two others, has been sentenced to spend 202 days in jail for being found guilty of vehicular homicide.

Devin Perkins could have gone to prison for life in the December 2022 crash on State Road 44 in Volusia County.

The Florida Highway Patrol reported that Perkins was operating an Infiniti in which TikTok influencer Alexandra Dulin, also recognized as Ali Spice on social media, was a passenger, along with two other individuals.

Troopers say Perkins was going 100 mph when his vehicle collided with a Toyota Tacoma that was going the wrong way.

Dulin and the two other passengers were killed.

Although Perkins was initially given a 364-day jail term, he will only serve an additional 202 days in jail after receiving credit for the 162 days he has already spent behind bars.

Perkins was also sentenced to one year of community control, followed by nine years of probation. He also will lose his driver’s license for the next 10 years.

The driver of the Tacoma, Thomas Petry, pleaded no contest to charges of reckless driving involving serious bodily injury, leaving the scene of a crash with death, vehicular homicide, and leaving the scene of a crash involving serious bodily injury.

He was sentenced to 37 years in prison.
