Bicyclist dies after motorcyclist crashes into him west of Horsetooth Reservoir

LARIMER COUNTY, Colo. — A bicyclist passed away after a collision with a motorcyclist while cycling near Horsetooth Reservoir in Larimer County on Sunday.

Colorado State Patrol (CSP) troopers were called to Larimer County Road 38E close to Milner Mountain Ranch Road at approximately 1:20 p.m. on Sunday in response to the crash.

Subsequently, he failed to negotiate a left-hand turn and veered onto the right shoulder, striking a 68-year-old individual on a Trek bicycle who was also heading east, according to CSP.

The bicyclist died at the scene.

The motorcyclist was transported to a hospital with serious injuries.

CSP’s Vehicular Crimes Unit is investigating this crash. Anybody with information on it is asked to call dispatch at 303-239-4501 and reference case number VC250133.
