AKRON, Ohio — A 23-year-old man has died following a shooting in Akron, which happened Thursday night in the 1100 block of Johnland Avenue.
Akron police report that officers arrived at the scene around 10 p.m. where they discovered the victim lying on a driveway with multiple gunshot wounds, as confirmed by the Summit County Medical Examiner’s Office.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene at 10:19 p.m. However, his identity has not been disclosed. According to Akron police speaking to 3News, it seems the victim was conversing with an individual in a vehicle outside when gunshots rang out, causing the vehicle to speed away.
There is no information available regarding any suspects in connection with the shooting.
Both the Akron Police Department and Summit County Medical Examiner’s Office are investigating.
