BOULDER, Colo. — A woman was seriously injured after an alleged drunk driver crashed into her car in Boulder early in the evening on Thursday.
The Boulder Police Department officers arrived at the scene of a three-car collision on Foothills Parkway’s southbound lanes, situated between Pearl Parkway and Arapahoe Avenue. The incident occurred at approximately 6 p.m. on a Thursday, as reported by the department.
According to the preliminary findings of the officers, the driver of a Ford Edge collided with a Toyota Corolla, which subsequently hit a Subaru Impreza in front of it.
The driver of the Ford Edge, Marico Antonio Arellano-Munoz, aged 23, was charged and taken into custody. The charges against him included vehicular assault (driving under the influence), DUI, careless driving that resulted in injury, driving without a valid license, and failure to provide proof of insurance, the police department confirmed.
The driver of the Toyota Corolla was seriously injured and she was brought to a hospital. A woman driving the Subaru Impreza, as well as her passenger, were also transported to a hospital for minor injuries, police said.
