LOUISVILLE, Ky. – An individual from Osteen has been accused of discharging a “warning shot” through a window towards two Louisville Metro police officers while he was visiting family in Kentucky.
Tombe Thomas, 35, faces two counts of attempted murder of a police officer in the Dec. 28 shooting, according to his citation.
According to reports, law enforcement officers were directed to the 1100 block of Reutinlinger Avenue following a call that informed them Thomas had barricaded himself within an AirBNB where he was residing with his girlfriend. It was mentioned in the citation that armed with a handgun, Thomas had barricaded himself inside a bathroom, suspecting that there was an individual inside his accommodation whom his girlfriend had conspired with.
Subsequently, the police knocked on the bathroom window and identified themselves before Thomas reportedly discharged a single gunshot through the window towards two officers, in close proximity to their heads, as outlined in the document.
Thomas eventually left the bathroom and was taken into custody without incident, commenting that he “fired a warning shot” through the window, the citation states.
