ORLANDO, Fla. – Politicians across Central Florida were quick to react to the news that the U.S. struck three Iranian nuclear sites on Saturday.

Donald Trump has revealed that the United States military has targeted three locations in Iran, a move that aligns directly with Israel’s efforts to dismantle Iran’s nuclear program. This bold move is seen as a risky strategy aimed at weakening a long-standing adversary amidst Tehran’s warnings of potential retaliatory actions that could escalate into a larger regional conflict.

Republican Congressman Randy Fine commended President Trump’s decision, expressing his unwavering support by stating, “Donald Trump has always come through for us.” Fine expressed his endorsement of Trump for a return as President, highlighting his belief that Trump would rise to the occasion when the world required his intervention. Fine concluded his remarks with, “Bombs away.”

“Donald Trump has never let us down.”

I knew that when the world needed him, he would be there to save it.

On the contrary, Representative Maxwell Frost from Orlando criticized the military action on social media, questioning the juxtaposition of attacking three nuclear sites while advocating for peace. Frost warned that the escalation of hostilities could result in further loss of life and called for an urgent reconvening of Congress to prevent the President from steering the country towards a full-fledged war.

Bombs 3 nuclear sites and then says “Now is the time for peace”?

This is an escalation that will lead to more death. Congress must reconvene immediately to stop the President from pushing us into war. https://t.co/nW2WORtgvT

U.S. Sen. Rick Scott made his own post thanking the President, which can be read below:

Thank you, @POTUS, @SecDef,and our brave American warriors for a successful strike on three Iranian nuclear sites. This is what peace through strength looks like. The United States and the world are a safer place without Iran possessing a nuclear weapon.”

Florida Rep. Anna Eskamani, whose parents immigrated to the U.S. from Iran, said in part, the “United States is on the cusp of war with Iran, and yet the American people have been given no proactive explanation, no evidence, and no clarity about why.”
