New nightly light show in downtown Cleveland: Illuminate CLE to transform Public Square with synchronized lighting displays and music

Starting April 16, Illuminate CLE will run every night at the top of each hour starting at dusk, with the last show scheduled for 11 p.m.

In Cleveland, the center of the city will shine bright with colors through Illuminate CLE, a nightly lighting display in Public Square accompanied by custom music. This initiative aims to make the city more lively and vibrant during the night.

Illuminate CLE, which begins April 16, will run every night at the top of each hour starting at dusk, with the last show scheduled for 11 p.m.

It runs approximately six minutes.

For the rest of each hour, officials say the Terminal Tower’s nightly color theme will extend onto other buildings around Public Square.

Authorities confirm that this lighting project is a long-term addition to the cityscape, starting with the inaugural event on Wednesday evening, where the first show is scheduled to start at approximately 8:15 p.m.

The music showcased in Illuminate CLE was written and produced locally with Cleveland artists.
