Babies born at Wexner Medical Center after 2014 championship root for another title 10 years later

Babies born in 2015 after the Buckeyes clinched the national championship were each sent home with a blanket reading “Born a Champion.”

COLUMBUS, Ohio — It has been 10 years since the last class of “champion babies” were born at Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center.

Babies born in 2015 after the Buckeyes clinched the national championship were each sent home with a blanket reading “Born a Champion.”

For many of those babies, that is where their journey of supporting the Buckeyes began.

This year, the champion babies who are now turning 10 years old are eagerly supporting the team in their quest for another national title. This paves the way for the emergence of a new generation of “champion babies.”

Champion baby Callie Miller is feeling good about Monday’s game.

“I love the Buckeyes,” she said.

Callie’s family keeps her “Born a Champion” blanket as a cherished keepsake.

Reflecting on her memories, Aubrie, the mother of Callie, expressed her sentiments saying, “I vividly recall the day when my daughter was born almost a decade ago. We have cherished that baby blanket as a keepsake, and now we are preparing to relive those precious moments. I often remind her that she was born a champion, and Ohio State will forever be champions in our hearts.”

The Millers are diehard for the Buckeyes.

Recalling the time she discovered she was expecting, Aubrie shared, “I was gifted an Ohio State onesie when I first learned about my pregnancy. From that moment onwards, my daughter has been a true Buckeye fan. She entered the world during the Buckeye season, and since then, there hasn’t been a game day where she hasn’t sported her Ohio State attire.”

Aubrie is a labor and delivery nurse at Wexner Medical Center. She is hoping she will get to swaddle babies in 2025 champion blankets soon.

Callie is looking forward to a championship game, that this year, hopefully, she will remember.
