Though some speculated the two were teasing a fight against each other, ESPN reports the pair will instead be starring in a reality show.
Brothers Jake Paul and Logan Paul made social media announcements Tuesday that suggested they have a show or fight coming to Max.
Described as the “moment you’ve been waiting for after a decade,” recent social media posts showed a direct image of the brothers with a date of March 27 and the Max logo. The posts did not provide any further information.
Citing anonymous sources, ESPN reported that it will be a reality series rather than a boxing match.
Recognized as YouTube sensations, Jake Paul, 28, and Logan Paul, 29, have a knack for generating excitement. Their previous fights have captured the attention of prominent figures in combat sports. Jake Paul secured a victory over Mike Tyson in November with an eight-round unanimous decision. Meanwhile, Logan Paul went the distance in an exhibition match against Floyd Mayweather in 2021.
The match between Jake Paul and Tyson, the former heavyweight boxing champion, shattered records. Event organizers stated in November that the Tyson-Paul fight set a record as the highest-grossing combat sports event in Texas, amassing $18.1 million. BetMGM reported that this bout received the most bets in the history of its boxing or mixed-martial arts events, with three times the number of bets and four times the money wagered compared to any other combat sports match.
Logan Paul is a part-time performer for World Wrestling Entertainment. He has been wildly successful in WWE, having claimed the United States Championship and participated in several premium live events.
It’s unclear whether a fight between Logan Paul and former UFC champion Conor McGregor will happen. McGregor said in December that he was in “preliminary agreements” with the family of billionaire industrialist Mukesh Ambani to fight Logan Paul in India.
