LAKEWOOD, Colo. โ Chris Fisher is still reeling nearly nine weeks after his home was burglarized.
Fisher expressed that every part of his home was thoroughly searched by the burglars, with valuable items worth more than $15 or $20 being taken without any regard.
The losses included electronics, heirloom jewelry, and credit cards.
The day following the burglary, Fisher was alerted that his stolen credit card had been used at a nearby gas station. He immediately went to the station and confronted a woman in possession of his card.
Despite denying any involvement, the woman was found with a distinctive limited edition backpack that belonged to Fisherโs wife, which had been taken from their house during the break-in.
A confrontation ensued, and Fisher was reportedly punched by another man and threatened with a knife before the bag was taken again.
Last month, Lakewood residents contacted Denver7 about a problem property that had caught fire twice. Read our coverage below:
According to Fisher, the Lakewood Police Department has identified the man and woman from the confrontation, but no arrests have been made.
โIt feels like inaction,โ he said.
Denver7 reached out to Lakewood PD. A spokesperson said they could not comment on the investigations since they are still open.
โIt makes it almost impossible to feel comfortable in my own home,โ Fisher said, โ[The suspects] know that weโre after them now because theyโve been contacted by the police, but for some reason, not arrested.โ
