Adams County man sentenced to 42 years after intentionally running down 3 people

In Brighton, Colorado, an Adams County man was given a 42-year prison sentence after being found guilty of attempted murder for deliberately hitting and causing injury to three individuals.

Manuel Handboy was found guilty in January on various counts, such as attempted first-degree murder and first-degree assault, for the occurrence that took place on January 15, 2022, in a parking lot in Adams County.

During the incident, Handboy used a Chrysler minivan to purposefully collide with and harm his ex-girlfriend and her family while they were making their way back to a hotel after a shopping excursion.

The three victims were transported to the hospital, where two of the victims were treated for non-critical injuries. The third woman, the ex-girlfriend’s mother, suffered a traumatic brain injury and multiple fractures from the crash.
