ORLANDO, Fla. – Dozens of the most rapidly aging cities in America are in Florida, making support for seniors a major community component.
Every year, March for Meals highlights the senior nutrition program, Meals on Wheels America.
In Orlando, there are hundreds of seniors receiving meals every week thanks to hundreds of staff and volunteers from Seniors First.
According to Marsha Lorenz, the President and CEO of Seniors First, there is consistently a need for additional volunteers and donors to address the increasing demand for senior services within our community.
She expresses enthusiasm regarding the recent acquisition of a new commercial-sized freezer and refrigerator, which will enable them to offer a greater variety of healthy and fresh food choices to the seniors under their care.
