In Orange County, Florida, a 30-year-old man from Hollywood lost his life after dashing onto the Florida Turnpike and getting hit by two vehicles, as reported by the Florida Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred around 9 p.m. Saturday in the area of mile marker 251 (State Road 417), troopers said.
The FHP crash report reveals that the man suddenly started running east from the tree line, crossing into the southbound lanes of the Turnpike, where he was struck by two vehicles traveling southbound in the inside lane.
The man was struck first by a 2021 Toyota Highlander and then by a 2016 Chevy Silverado, the report states.
Both vehicles remained at the scene and none of their occupants were injured in the crash, troopers said.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene, the report states.
FHP is still investigating.
