Parma Heights police: Valley Forge High School resource officer injured in fight between siblings

The officer was transported to a nearby hospital to treat his injuries. Charges are pending.

A Valley Forge High School resource officer (SRO) in Parma Heights, Ohio, got hurt while trying to calm down a fight at the school premises, as stated by the Parma Heights police in a press release.

Prior to the commencement of classes on Tuesday, March 18, two siblings engaged in a physical altercation stemming from a previous disagreement within the family.

The SRO, along with school staff, intervened to diffuse the situation, but unfortunately, the officer ended up getting injured during the incident involving one or both of the students.

He was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. No students were injured. Police say no weapons were involved in the incident.

Police say an incident report is being completed an will be sent to the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office for charges to be filed.
