Cleveland police say the 25-year-old man was involved in an altercation involving two other people at 230 Euclid Ave.
In Cleveland, a man was killed in a shooting incident close to Public Square following a confrontation with two other individuals, as reported by the local police to 3News.
According to a police spokesperson, officers, EMS and fire personnel responded to 230 Euclid Ave. at around 2 a.m. The 25-year-old man, who has not been identified, was immediately found with gunshot wounds and taken to a hospital where he was later pronounced dead.Â
A 17-year-old male and an 18-year-old man were arrested but have not been charged as of 1 p.m. Police said an investigation is ongoing to determine whether charges will be filed.
A preliminary police investigation indicated that two people were in the area when the 25-year-old arrived and “became involved in a physical confrontation with one of the individuals there.”
According to police, the 25-year-old man pulled a firearm during the altercation and “shots were fired.” Police say the other one of the pair tried to intervene in the fight, “and also appeared to fire his weapon.” Â
Police said information on the shooting is “subject to change as the investigation continues.”
