A gun was recovered at the scene and police are investigating the deaths as suspicious.
CLEVELAND — Willoughby Hills police are investigating after a married couple were found dead in their home on Orchard Drive Sunday morning.
As per information provided by the Willoughby Hills Police Department, they received a call for a welfare check at the residence a little past 10 a.m. A close acquaintance of the couple had contacted the police regarding alarming communications from them.
Officers found the husband and wife, both 64 years old, dead in an upstairs bedroom.
Police are withholding the names of the individuals while their family members are notified.
During the investigation, a firearm was discovered on the premises, leading the authorities to treat the deaths as suspicious. The police have assured that they are actively looking into the matter and will disclose further information as it unfolds.
“Preliminary investigation indicates that this is an isolated incident with no further threat to public safety,” the police department said.
