In Cocoa Beach, Florida, Cocoa Beach police made a public announcement on Sunday urging people to steer clear of the Winn-Dixie area due to an alleged bomb threat that was later confirmed to be unfounded, according to the police department.

The situation was resolved, and normal emergency services were reinstated just before 2 p.m.
Following the incident, a press release disclosed that authorities, including the Cocoa Beach Fire Department and Brevard County Fire Rescue, reacted to a bomb threat at the Winn-Dixie around 11:14 a.m. The store and adjacent area were evacuated as a precautionary measure while law enforcement’s bomb squad conducted a thorough search, the press release explained.
No explosive devices were found and the scene was deemed safe, police said.
