SAPD: Man hit by truck after allegedly 'throwing rocks at cars'

The man throwing the rocks, 38, was taken to the hospital in critical condition. The driver of the truck possibly faces aggravated assault charges.

In San Antonio, a man was critically injured when a truck ran over him as he was reportedly throwing rocks at cars. The incident occurred on Thursday night when the man, aged 38, was seen engaging in this behavior in the 6900 block of San Pedro.

According to the police, the man targeted a pickup truck with one of his rocks, prompting the 18-year-old driver to turn back and approach him. The driver mentioned that he believed the man possessed a weapon, leading to the unfortunate event where the truck struck the man.

That’s when the driver sped up and allegedly ran the man over. The three men inside the truck were detained.

The victim was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

Nobody has been arrested, but the driver of the truck possibly faces aggravated assault charges.
