The alert remains in effect until 11:15 p.m. for parts of Cuyahoga, Geauga, Portage, and Summit counties.

As a heatwave sweeps across Northeast Ohio, a series of storms have begun to appear in the region, leading to multiple counties being placed under a severe thunderstorm warning until 11:15 p.m.

  • Cuyahoga (east central)
  • Geauga (southwest)

  • Summit (northeast)

Areas that may be affected by the storm include Cleveland, Chardon, Cleveland Heights, Twinsburg, and Streetsboro. Residents in these areas can anticipate heavy rainfall and wind gusts reaching speeds of up to 60 mph, which may result in tree and power line damage.
