FLORIDA, Kennedy SPACE CENTER – Following a scrubbed launch on Saturday night, SpaceX is gearing up for another attempt to launch a Falcon 9 rocket from Kennedy Space Center.
The company did not give a reason why the launch was scrubbed just as fueling should have gotten underway.
The launch is planned for 8:53 p.m., with backup opportunities possible until 12:42 a.m.
The rocket, which will liftoff from Launch Complex 39A at Kennedy Space Center, is carrying 21 Starlink satellites.
Following the launch and separation, the first stage of the rocket is expected to land on a droneship in the Atlantic.
The launch forecast calls for a 95% chance of good weather.
That’s not the only launch expected this weekend.
Additionally, SpaceX is planning to try another launch on Sunday evening, this time carrying Starlink satellites from Space Launch Complex-40 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station.
The four-hour window for that launch opens at 9:59 p.m., with backup opportunities available until 1:59 a.m. Monday.
