Authorities have issued warrants for the arrest of Rosue Pierce, 56 years old, on charges of murder and felonious assault in connection with the stabbing death of Narlon Portis.
CLEVELAND — Police in Akron have identified the suspect wanted for a fatal stabbing last weekend.
The arrest warrants for Rosue Pierce, aged 56, were announced in a release from the department last Wednesday. The charges against Pierce include murder and felonious assault.
The incident unfolded on a Saturday evening around 8:11 p.m. in the 1500 block of Cromwell Drive in Akron, prompting a response from local law enforcement. Upon arrival at the scene, officers discovered Narlon Portis, a 52-year-old resident of Akron, gravely injured as a result of a stabbing.
Portis was transported to a nearby hospital and pronounced dead a “short time” later, police said.
Investigators believe that Pierce stabbed Portis multiple times following an argument, then fled the scene. Police add that the two men knew each other.
Pierce is described as being 5’11” tall, approximately 200 lbs, with a bald head, brown eyes, and gray facial hair.
