WASHINGTON — Move over Mcdonald’s and Wendy’s, there’s a new chicken nugget place in town.
Taco Bell is set to introduce chicken nuggets at its locations all across the country starting Thursday. These new nuggets stand out from the rest as they are coated with a mix of breadcrumbs and tortilla chips, and then marinated in a flavorful jalapeño buttermilk.
The nuggets aren’t the only star of the show, Taco Bell is also releasing a trio of dipping sauces to accompany the latest menu addition. The fast-food chain said it tested over “100 sauce variations” before curating three dipping sauces: Hidden Valley Ranch Sauce, which is a blend of Taco Bell’s Fire Sauce and Hidden Valley ranch, a new signature Bell Sauce and a sweet and hot Jalapeño Honey Mustard Sauce.
How much are the Taco Bell chicken nuggets?Â
Pricing options for Taco Bell’s latest menu innovation range from a 5-piece nugget with one sauce at $3.99 to a deluxe meal featuring 5 nuggets, a crunchy taco, beef chalupa, nacho fries and a drink for $10.49.
“As the inventors of Nacho Fries, Taco Bell is fully aware that reinventing an American classic with a Taco Bell twist is a responsibility we don’t take lightly. But in a world dominated by chicken cravings, it was time to show the world how Taco Bell does chicken nuggets – unexpected and undeniably bold,” Taco Bell’s Chief Marketing Officer Taylor Montgomery said in a press release. “The Crispy Chicken Nuggets deliver a crispier, more flavorful nugget experience, and combined with the Hidden Valleyâ„¢ Fire Ranch Sauce, we hope it will test people’s devotion to their favorite nuggets.”
The chicken nuggets were successfully tested in Minneapolis in 2023 and in Houston earlier this year.Â
