Valley Forge student facing criminal charges after allegedly making TikTok threat against high school

The principal of Valley Forge High School informed parents that a student was arrested for making a school shooting threat. Despite this incident, classes will proceed as scheduled on Tuesday.

After sharing a threat against the school on social media, a student from Valley Forge High School has been taken into custody. Principal Janine Andrzejewski relayed this information in a letter addressed to parents and guardians, as reported by 3News.

Law enforcement made the school authorities aware of the situation on Monday afternoon, just as classes were ending, the message stated. Allegedly, the student had posted a concerning message on TikTok that referenced a possible school shooting.

Valley Forge administrators worked with authorities to identify the student, who was eventually arrested while at home. The individual now faces criminal charges and potential discipline from the Parma Heights school.

Despite the nature of the post, Andrzejewski says school leaders are “confident there is no credibility to this threat.” As such, classes at Valley Forge will continue as scheduled on Tuesday, with the Parma City School District’s winter break set to begin next week.

“We remind all of our stakeholders that your eyes and ears are our best resources to keep us all safe,” Andrzejewski wrote. “Please contact any member of our school administration or contact 844-SAFEROH if you have any concerns to report.”
