I-480 West reopens as Bedford Heights police investigate 'incident'

While police have not confirmed details, drone camera footage captured by 3News shows a car stopped on the road with multiple smashed windows.

In Cleveland, all lanes on Interstate 480 Westbound and I-271 in Bedford Heights were closed due to a “police incident” on Saturday morning, as reported by police and transport officials to 3News.

Authorities have not provided more information except stating that it was a “law enforcement incident.” The closure began around 8 a.m. Saturday and was still in effect at 11:40 a.m., according to the Ohio Department of Transportation.

According to ODOT, all lanes have since reopened.

Although police have not officially disclosed details, drone camera footage from 3News’ Sam Garforth depicts a car with two broken windows and a partially covered windshield, stopped on the road while surrounded by several police cruisers.
