Elyria police say the shooting appears to be ‘accidental’ after an initial investigation.
ELYRIA, Ohio — Elyria police are investigating a shooting that left a 15-year-old boy in serious condition.
Police were called to a home on Melvyn Lane at around 3:37 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 22 after receiving reports of a potential shooting incident.
Upon reaching the scene, law enforcement discovered a 15-year-old boy who had sustained a gunshot injury. The boy was first taken to University Hospitals Elyria Medical Center and later transferred to University Hospitals Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital.
