Aldi announces strict ‘two per customer’ rule ahead of popular Christmas item going on-sale

Aldi has introduced a strict rule to mark the sale of a popular Christmas item.

In recent years, Kevin the Carrot has become hugely popular as part of the budget supermarket’s festive advertising campaigns. To coincide, Aldi has announced the return of the Kevin the Carrot stuffed toys.

As our colleagues at the Manchester Evening News report, to mark the announcement, a short animated video was shared across the chain’s social media channels. The video caption read: “The plushie production is in full swing. Kevin and his Christmas Factory friends are available in store 16.11.23. #AldiAmazingChristmas.”

Fans can collect Kevin the Carrot, William Conker and friends including the Plumty Dumptys in stores from Thursday but, as they’re Specialbuy items, once they’re gone, they’re gone. Shoppers can choose their favourite stars or collect the whole ensemble, with each plush toy priced at £3.99 each.

Shoppers can even pick up a special Golden Kevin for just £3.99. The Christmas advert stars have also been given the Squishee treatment, on sale for £6.99 each.

Meanwhile, mega fans can go all out by bagging the Jumbo Kevin Plush for £19.99. For those wanting to get crafty, Aldi’s Character Kits, priced at £2.99, give fanatics the chance to knit their own Aldi mascot – including the iconic Cuthbert.

Aldi has warned however that the plush toys will be limited to two per customer to allow as many people as possible the chance to take a Kevin home for Christmas. They aren’t available to buy online and are being sold in-store only.

If plush toys aren’t your thing, there’s still plenty of Kevin the Carrot merch available to get you into the festive spirit. Aldi will also be selling Tree Plush Decorations for £2.99, available in a choice of Kevin and Golden Kevin or three Plumty Dumptys.

The stylish Kevin Christmas Pyjamas for children ages one to 12-years-old will also be available in purple or grey, priced at £5.99.

If that still wasn’t enough Kevin, landing in stores from November 23 are the Kevin the Carrot 3D Mugs for £3.99 – ideal for sipping the ultimate hot chocolate on Christmas morning.
