A Beverly Hills doctor allegedly drugged and raped a female employee, and police believe there may be additional victims.
Dr. Babak Hajhossein is currently under investigation by the Los Angeles Police Department for allegedly luring victims with promises of high pay at his office. He is now facing rape charges after a staff member reported that he sexually assaulted her at his residence.
“Though he is charged with assaulting a single victim, investigators believe there are other victims who have yet to come forward,” the LAPD said.
Reports suggest that Hajhossein used his position in the medical field, including his roles as founder of the Wound & Burn Centers of America and a visiting specialist at Catalina Island Health, to target vulnerable individuals.
Allegedly, Hajhossein recruited individuals through online job platforms and then manipulated them into working overtime at his home after hiring them.
The charges are based on allegations from one person at this time, but police are asking any additional victims to contact them at (213) 473-0447.
