A woman was wounded early Thursday morning when an unknown suspect opened fire on her car as she drove on Interstate 94 in Detroit.
According to WDIV, Michigan State Police revealed that despite gunfire directed at a car, two children inside the vehicle miraculously escaped unharmed. The woman driving the car was the target of the shooting and was swiftly taken to the hospital by authorities. At present, her medical condition remains undisclosed, although it is confirmed that she managed to contact 911 for help.
Investigators said the woman was struck once, but her car had multiple bullet holes. They also found shell casings on the highway.
