ANDREW Tate and his brother have been freed from house arrest after five months, he claims.

The two disgraced individuals were confined to their residence in Romania because they are accused of serious crimes such as rape, human trafficking, engaging in sexual activity with a minor, establishing an organized criminal organization, money laundering, and tampering with testimonies.

Andrew Tate and his brother Tristan were arrested on 29 December 2022 as a result of the DIICOT (Directorate for Investigating Organized Crime and Terrorism) inquiry on charges of human trafficking and intention to form an organized crime group. Romanian police stated that the two brothers and their associates coerced victims for creating a paid pornography service for social media platforms. The trial itself has not started yet, as the appeal court judges sent the case back to DIICOT prosecutors by a decision made at the end of 2024. According to a statement released by the siblings, they mentioned: “A significant legal development has taken place where the Romanian courts have decided to lift the house arrest that was imposed on Andrew Emory Tate, and instead, they have placed him under judicial control (probation).

This decision is a substantial move forward as it allows Andrew the freedom to move within Romania while complying with all the legal requirements.”
