A suspect has been arrested in the shooting of a local man in Corpus Christi, Texas.
On Saturday, shortly after 5:00 p.m., officers responded to a shooting in the 900 block of N. Omaha Dr., according to the Corpus Christi Police.
The police reported that officers found a middle-aged man who had been shot. EMS transported the man to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Robbery Homicide Detectives looked into the incident all night and managed to determine who the suspected shooter was. They obtained a warrant and arrested the individual on Saturday, with support from the CCPD Gang Unit, Violent Crimes Unit, and SWAT.
Andrew Botello, 60, was arrested and taken into custody in the 1600 block of Main Dr. without incident.
After questioning, Botello was taken to the City Detention Center and booked for murder.
Detectives believe that the victim and Botello knew each other.
